Architectural Technician/Technologist looking to step up into Technical Co Ordinator role for a high end developer in an exciting and challenging role? This is a unique and progressive opportunity to join a build and design developer as part of their highly successful design department in an autonomous role with a technically varied workload of own project work including small developments up to million pound properties.

Architectural Technician required to join the in-house design team of a national house builder at their regional headquarters based in Leeds.

Reporting to the Technical Director the Architectural Technician is a core role within the technical team which is the main contact hub with the Planning and NHBC Portals for the team, you will be joining an established design team and provide Architectural support and technical guidance for all new build developments and site based coordination operations.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

Essential:

Flexible and agile approach Enthusiastic, self-motivated, solutions focused approach
Prepared to work within a large geographical area
Excellent level of numeracy and skilled in verbal and written communication
High level of computer literacy in MS Office
High level of interpersonal skills and a professional attitude to work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent architectural knowledge – particularly house types
Proven track record of delivering Building Control approvals
Experience of planning, organising and prioritising own workload
Confident with ability to communicate and influence at all levels
Self motivated

Desirable:

Assisting in the preparation of drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications.
Working as part of a team, assisting on development of design proposals
Assisting in the preparation of drawings, reports, visualisations, schedules and specifications.
Architectural Technician / Technical Coordinator background.
Previous house building or residential experience within an Architectural Practice.

Coordinating designs with other members of the team.

Education and Qualifications

Essential:

HNC /HND / Degree in Building, Civil Engineering or Architectural design
Knowledge of AutoCAD
