Role And Responsibilities

As a member of the Property Consultancy team you will work on a range of engagements, providing strategic advice and support in connection with some of the following :

Strategic Advisory

* Healthchecks and reviews

* Stock transfers, rationalisation, disposal, mergers and acquisition

* Staffing structures

* Interim management

* Training, mentoring and development

* Process mapping

* Developing and prioritising works programmes

* DLO and contractor performance reviews

* Value for money appraisal

* Audit preparation

* Assessing asset performance (including NPV) and options appraisal modelling

* Investment appraisal and planning

* Report writing and development of action plans

* Providing asset management and compliance strategic advice and support

* Decent Homes and HHSRS assessments and validations

* Developing and prioritising works programmes

Asset Management

* Managing large scale stock condition and validation surveys

* Undertaking asset management database appraisals

* Advising on best practice data management

Development and Regeneration

* Preparation of development strategies

* Undertaking development appraisals

* Identifying potential development opportunities

You will also have an active involvement in supporting future growth within the team, including development of proposals and wider business development activities.

Experience And Skills Required

The ideal candidate will come from a Building Surveying background.

* Appropriate university and professional qualifications such as RICS, CIOB would be highly desirable, although not essential

* Housing sector related qualifications such as CIHCM would be desirable, although not essential

* An understanding of the housing, central and local government sectors would be highly desirable

* Knowledge of current asset management, compliance and statutory best practice and regulatory requirements will be essential in advising clients and must be up to date

* Strong project management skills, and ability to deliver engagements within tight timescales, to appropriate quality and financial objectives

You will be of an analytical mind and high level of intellect – combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and reasoned advice.

It is anticipated the role will require initial and on-going training in areas where knowledge may be limited and you will be fully supported in gaining this expertise
