Are you looking to further your career as a contract manager? Do you enjoy immersing yourself within a leadership role for a leading residential developer? Look no further, as this could be the role for you!
Main responsibilities include overseeing multiple projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within its budget, conducting weekly reviews of progress. The role demands approving extra work to be done on a contract, helping to resolve any disputes which come up, and identifying areas for improvement in your company's contracting processes.
The role requires you to be the first point of contact for members of the public, clients, site managers and sub-contractors for as long as the contract lasts. Applying an excellent sense of commercial awareness is a must, particularly when making schedules of construction projects, overseeing, and managing production from the stage of conception to the construction phase; ensuring that the completion of the project strictly adheres with the proposed time frame.
In addition, you must establish and maintain strong working relationships with a wide range of people, including regional managers, site teams, sub-contractors, and suppliers as well as clients and stakeholders. As a team player you also need to be able to use your own initiative to make informed decisions.
Furthermore, you will be expected to prepare budgets and ensure that the completion and production of construction projects fall within budget, devising ways by which budgets can be minimised.
