My client is a contractor in structure & civil engineering providing specialist services in Groundworks

The position of Contracts Manager will report to the Operations Manager

My client has an excellent order book, and the both the company and division are growing rapidly, meaning this would be an excellent time to join this business

Requirements of the Contracts Manager

* A strong groundworks background

* Proven ability and experience delivering multiple concurrent Civil Engineering Groundworks projects from tender to completion.

* Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality

* Ability to develop friendly and professional customer focused relations with others

* Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook

* Experience managing a delivery team and working with other departments to achieve project deliverables.

* Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor to motivate employees to achieve exacting standards of compliance

Responsibilities

• Financial forecasting, monitoring and the control of all project costs

• Produce monthly reports

• Plan projects

• Ensure compliance

• Arrange tender handover meetings and deliver pre-start meetings to the site teams

• Client project progress reports

• Supply chain management

• Monthly CVRs

• Weekly review of progress

• Chair and attend internal and external meetings

• Manage and drive team and individual performance

• Client liaison

• Health & safety

• Work collaboratively with other department heads

• Ensure all contracts are contractually and commercially managed

• Deputise for the Operations Manager as required

• Final account negotiations and settlements
