My client are a leading developer delivering major projects throughout the UK. They operate in the new build student accommodation, high-rise residential apartments and new build housing sectors. They are a multi-million pound turnover group and a leader in their sectors of the construction industry.
Within their new build housing sector they have multiple new developments set to start in 2021/22 as they undertake a significant period of growth in the division. Owing to such they're now looking to add a Customer Care Operative to their team.
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking remedial works for new home buyers and occasionally working with & organising external trades. The role will be predominantly post-handover but occasionally you will assist with construction work pre-handover. You will be snagging, dealing with customers, clixfix management, finishing plots for handover etc.
Responsibilities will include carrying out decorative making-good remedial work, minor ground works, the inspection, reporting and correction of minor faults, tiling, grouting and leak investigations etc.
In addition, you will communicate regularly with the office team, contractors and suppliers.
You will be the representative of company when working in customers' homes and it will be your responsibility to ensure that our customers are happy with any repairs carried out.
You will also attend weekly departmental meetings and keep all paperwork up to date.
Ideally, you will have a multi-trade building background and must have strong knowledge, understanding & appreciation of Health and Safety regulations.
You should feel comfortable working at height and using ladders safely.
Excellent communication skills are essential as is a full driving licence and the ability to work efficiently and effectively without supervision.
The role attracts a competitive salary of circa £23,000 – £25,000 + package including a company van and fuel card
