Role: Design lead
Working for a leading developer with a 40-year history, who to date have secured huge development opportunities on several sites. You will be expected to be liaise with the design teams and all other aspects of design elements across all projects for the company. Looking for someone who can help execute strategies for delivering all related projects to the company, and to support development managers in achieving optimal designs. The design lead will set up. Coordinate, and manage a design standardisation workbook. Ensuring that the company achieves the best quality designs and delivery to the desired price point. You will be taking the elements from the Design Workbook and working alongside the procurement lead, create strategic and commercial relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
Salary: £120k + package (depending on experience)
Must have from design background with 10+ years’ experience and hold relevant qualifications
Must have held a design leadership role, either for a main contractor, design practise or trade contracting.
Assist the team with ideas and provide them with creative input for new designs
Create design prototypes, features and specifications for the company
Communicate the concepts, ideas, and the outcome of the research to the entire design and development team to maintain a smooth flow of information
Conduct risk assessment and assist in risk management by collaborating with other departments.Skills Needed:
10+ years’ experience
Significant experience in leading digital design teams in a fast-paced working environment.
An eye for detail and analytical skills to read and take inputs from the audience and market research data
Strong knowledge of various designing processes and prior experience in managing them
Familiarity with the latest technology that has become standard in the industry.
