Job Title: Design Manager

Location: Cardiff, Wales – This is an agile role where you will be based out of the Cardiff area, with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites.

Business Area: Kier Construction – Build Western & Wales

Contract: Permanent, full time or part time (We can offer this role as either full time or part time, please specify in your application).

Kier Construction are looking for a Design Manager to join our team in Cardiff! You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from Education to commercial, healthcare, leisure, and more!

Key responsibilities

Working on NEC and JCT contracts ranging from £5m to £25m, the Design Manager will report to the Project Lead and will be responsible for the management and delivery of design in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule. You will be responsible for ensuring the production of design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, schedules to record progress, upline reporting, attending/chairing necessary
meetings and workshops.

What do we need from you?

We are seeking an individual who is educated to degree level, or equivalent experience, have proven experience in a similar role and be an excellent communicator. You should have experience of delivering BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM, federating models and model clash detection. Experience working on Eduaction, Retail, Industrial, Hotels or Student Accommodation would be preferred.
