A Family run Fit-out Contractor who has been designing & building commercial offices for their client for almost 15 years are on the market seeking an Estimator with Commercial Fit-out experience to tender a variety of projects ranging from £500k-4m.

Our client is looking for an Estimator to be part of the Project Finance team in Hampshire where you will be advising, preparing, and winning new business, building long term relationships with clients where toy will assist and manager the render process from inception to completion.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: –

Attend initial brief with the client
Working alongside the Project Director and other internal teams
Ensuring that project profitability targets set at initial sales meetings are met.
Ensure the projects are programmed appropriately
Capable of producing competitive cost plans throughout the Pre-Construction stages.
Agree on contractual terms and conditions with the client
Actively seeking competitive quotes from sub-contractors through a tender process.
Review sub-contractor quotes
To estimate, process & present project costs
Work alongside the design team for considered value engineering


The ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience: –

3-5 years experience as an estimator
Commercial fit-out experience preferred
Experience in surveying
Good technical construction knowledge
An established and good track record of yielding high profits in previous projects.
Excellent communication skills
Well organised with good time management
Excellent numerical skills
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical disciplines
A good knowledge of JCT contracts & current building regulations
A good knowledge of health and safety within the industry
A proven track record in coordinating and overseeing projects at preconstruction phase
