Job Title:  Group Operational Excellence Director

Job Purpose

The Group Operational Excellence Director (GOED) is responsible for ensuring ISG implements the strategy that delivers the corporate goal of Optimal Operational Efficiency and Excellence, which as one of 4 corporate goals, delivers the roadmap that will realise the overall vision of ISG by 2024 and beyond.

The GOED will develop and formalise the ISG approach to continuous improvement across all areas of the Group, developing both a short and longer term Operation Excellence strategy and robust deployment processes to achieve maximum return and embed continuous improvement/lean thinking across the Group.

The GOED develops a structured approach to manage the deployment of OE workstreams via a OE programme board with regular reporting, training and communications to embed the change into the ISG way of doing business.

Skills and Experience

Inspiring leader with very strong communication and influencing skills.

Possesses strong long‐term strategic thinking skills.

A successful construction or project management track record.

Strong change management skills – lean/six sigma an advantage.

High attention to detail.

Highly logical and process‐oriented thinking.

Excellent analytical skills to be able to establish the root cause of issues and the improvement plans required to rectify an issue.

Strong organisation and monitoring skills to ensure actions are delivered and closed out by agreed dates.

The necessary experience in the areas of the ISG business that require improvement to be able to establish what needs to improve and to agree plans with key stakeholders to implement that change

A strong understanding of the vision, values and corporate goals of ISG
