The On-Site Group are currently looking for a H&S Manager for a project in Groningen This is for an international company who deliver technology expertise and high end solutions to Data Centre Construction Projects and high end spec ICT deployments throughout Europe.

Reporting to the Operational Director, as a H&S Manager you will create, implement and manage the company H&S programs and policies according to Safety Management System. Establish project specific HSE plans including HSE policy and continually improve it.

The role will be predominantly site based on the client project location in Eemshaven. Preferred if living in Groningen area or are willing to move.

Main Responsibilities:

* Empowering a culture of safety and security by creating, planning, implementing, managing and maintaining company H&S programs and policies.

* Engage a transparent relationship with the clients that is based on honesty and collaboration

* Plan,implement and conduct preventative care, safety and compliance training programs

* Provide project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm site fulfils industry, local, state and federal guidelines and regulations

* Ensure subcontractor safety documents are produced and available on site, relevant and in accordance with best practice and current legislation

* Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contract for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports and correspondence.

* Participates in team meetings and provides regular on site project presence.

* Advise on personal protection equipment required by employees.

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelors degree in Safety, Health, Engineering essential

* Current relevant health and safety qualifications

* Fully conversant with International HSE standards, codes and industry practices essential

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential

* Strong experience in Risk assessments and management

* Strong experience in ICT or Data Centre environments preferred

Must be eligible to work in the EU
