Fawkes and Reece are now assisting in the search for a Lead Quantity Surveyor to join a fantastic luxury residential developer out of their Basingstoke office.

This role is to join a luxury residential developer who specialises in the extension/new build of bespoke homes and refurbishment/restoration of listed buildings. The project in particular is a large residential project in Reading which as Lead Surveyor, you will be running. You'll be reporting into the Managing Surveyor on the project.

As Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include but not be limited to:

Financial reporting and control
Continually monitor and review, in detail costs and values of the works at hand.
Commercial forecasting
Ensure that the financial reports are produced and submitted in line with the company's reporting timetable.
Attend regular review and commercial control meetings.
Liaise closely with the Design and Project Management leads to ensure cross control
Management of Risk
Management of contract variations
Contract Review and production Meetings
Main Contract and External Valuations and Final Accounts
Management of Consultants and Subcontractors
Feedback to the Commercial manager of any price elements or unit prices which are considered to be seriously at variance with cost, giving details of shortfall.
Provide constructive comments on improving efficiency.

The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have:

Experience working on high end, bespoke residential projects
Have run your own residential project
Have been in the Quantity Surveyor role for over 5 years.
