We are currently working for a renowned and forward-thinking main contractor that has been operating for over 25 years and currently has a turnover more than £75 million. Over the last twenty five years, they have developed a reputation for delivering a range of projects including residential, education, healthcare, commercial and heritage projects. Typical project values range from £5 million to £30 million.


We are currently seeking strong Commercial Lead for the business and someone that will be the lead on:

* £28 million Scheme – New Build Residential – RC Frame – 290 Units

They are looking for an Established Commercial Lead for this dynamic and forward-thinking business. This is well balanced team consisting of mature and capable individuals that are looking for people that want to take ownership and responsibility for their work. We are looking for capable individuals with experience working on residential schemes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Commercial plans and strategy

* Procurement

* Financial reporting, administration, and control.

* Insurances/warranties- understand the contract requirements and obligations- ensure we adhere to these.

* Be naturally commercially inquisitive, look for opportunity.

* Reporting

* Staff Management (QS & AQS)

* Risk/opportunity-Review identify, mitigate, and manage accordingly.

* Play an active and influential role in the successful delivery of the project.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Surveying degree educated

* Anticipated as having extensive experience of commercial management and delivery of multi phased housing and resident schemes, D&B bias.

* Assumes responsibility and adopts “hands on approach” as required, being an implementer and a doer as the situation requires.

* Natural Commercial awareness – Commercially inventive & astute inquisitive/analytical.

* Manage both people & situations sensitively & to bring out the best result.

* Work across teams for a common goal –

* Monitor site team relationships – act as appropriate.

* Supervise, manage & direct junior staff bring out their best.

* Organised

* Commercially aware

* Self-motivated

* Experienced
