For over 30 years our client has been providing high quality mechanical, electrical and sustainable design, supported by cost effective innovative engineering packages, for the UK construction industry.

Sharing a number of common goals with their customers, their main objective is to provide the highest level of service to their clients and to the building services industry, ensuring director level involvement from inception to completion. This approach has seen many long-term relationships formed and rewarded with regular repeat business throughout the retail, residential, commercial and industrial sectors amongst many.

The business provides all of the benefits of a traditional building services consultancy, as well as expertise in industry-leading technology and the flexibility to tailor systems to suit their customer’s unique requirements. As Low Carbon Consultants and Low Carbon Energy Assessors, they advise on a full range of sustainable engineering solutions for the built environment.

With the privileged position of working directly for the end user and/or developer, this consulting engineering practice enjoys being engaged a little further up the construction food chain and away from purely working for contractors. Current and regular works are often related to the Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Residential and Education sectors.

With work continuing to pour in, requiring long term project support and collaboration, recruitment is once again on the radar and key to growth. Top of the wish list is a leading Mechanical Engineer who is able to operate at Principal or Associate grade, motivating and managing a design team along with offering customers a first class service. This client facing role will require a hands on Engineer who is in touch with modern, cost effective solutions for complex problems. Duties will also include supporting live projects on site, working on behalf of the end user and ensuring smooth delivery of M&E services.

Applications are invited from technically sound Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers with strong knowledge of HVAC systems and low energy building design. The appointed candidate can look forward to working on a wide range of interesting projects, working closely with high profile names across the retail sector in particular.

Working within one of largest M&E design teams in the Yorkshire region, excellent career progression is available for Mechanical Design Engineers excelling in their roles, capable to move up the ladder and further into management. Current software includes industry standard packages such as Hevacomp, IES and Revit MEP.

The office is conveniently situated close to the M1 offering excellent motorway links for West, North and South Yorkshire based candidates, with the added advantage of missing busy city centre traffic
