Salary based on your level of seniority
From £37k for Intermediate level
To £55k for Senior level
Consultancy / Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services
My client is a consultancy practice providing mechanical, electrical, public health and sustainable engineering building services for a wide range of private and public sector clients including historic, listed, educational, institutional, commercial, residential and ecclesiastical buildings.
The Role
* This role would suit someone at either Intermediate or Senior level
* It’s to work as part of a team of 12 people with an equal split on mechanical and electrical work
* About 90% of their work is in Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings
* As its heritage buildings its almost all refurbishment work
* Projects can be anywhere in the UK, and you will be required to go out on visits
* It will suit someone who likes to take responsibility for their own work
Experience Required
* Intermediate level, at least 3 years mechanical design experience
* Senior level 6 years plus mechanical design experience
* Experience of Hevacomp to design
* It would an advantage if you have already done work in the heritage field but not essential
* You must be a driver and have a car as you will be required to go to visit sites
Benefits
In addition to basic salary
They offer flexibility on hours, based around a 37.5 hours average week
* Leave: 25 days plus additional 3 to be taken at Xmas shut down
* Death in service: twice salary
* Pension: 5% employers’ contribution (based on full salary not just government min)
* Informal (non contractual) bonus scheme, based on end of year profit. Whilst not guaranteed they have paid bonus every year
