We are currently on the lookout for an Mechanical Project Engineer, based in and around the Bury St Edumunds are.The contractor we are working alongside deal with all aspects of water treatment upgrades. Therefore, we are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer who ideally has a background within this area and has experience with the production and coordination of details Design Deliverables on Mechanical, Process and Electrical schemes.

Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

Rate: £(Apply online only) per day PAYE (inside IR35)

Contract Type: Freelance, however permanent positions are also available

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Start Date: ASAP

Within this role as an Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Attend to internal and external design reviews
Where applicable attending progression meetings
Gaining clients requirements through their specifications or if required visiting sites
Ability to determine the operational requirements and be able to propose solutions
Working alongside the Senior Designer, Design Manager and Project Manager to make sure all designs are value engineered and adhere to all client specifications
Ensuring that all compliance and Health & Safety legislations are met
Promote innovcation and challenge involved parties to gain cost effectiveness in all design activies
Make sure all work is completed to agreed programmes, KPI's and financial budgets

Alongside this, your Requirements within this role includes:

An industry applicable HNC/B.Eng/ONC or equivalent
Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
A practical and hands on attitude
Experience in generating electrical instlalation packs
Generate control philosophies, URS and FDS documents (where applicable) to client specifications

Successful candidate will ideally have a strong experience within the Water Indsutry in both Water Treatment and Waste Water Treatment projects with a mechanical background.
