Job Overview
Due to the continued growth and success, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a role in a growing company and the successful candidate will undertake a variety of technically interesting and challenging responsibilities.
The right Mechanical Project Manager will have a minimum of 5 years experience in running projects valued at over 2 million pounds & experience in the Residential sector would be an advantage
Role responsibilities will include:
* Representing the company while working closely with the client and establishing a trusting relationship
* Liaise and co-ordinate with sub-contractors to ensure the successful delivery of the project
* Ensuring the design was co-ordinated
* Implement health & safety policies and procedures of the company
* Meetings (Progress, Commercial and Design)
* Submitting weekly progress reports
* Planning programmes
* Ensuring achievable targets are agreed with clients and site teams.
* Ensuring all project requirements and deadlines are met through the management of a large team
* Liaising with the commercial team to ensure the project is delivered on budget
* Adhering to safety and quality standards through contract terms
The Person
* 5 + years experience in Project Management
* Relevant technical knowledge of mechanical systems
* Plumbing / plantroom background
* Driven attitude and ability to work to a strict deadline
Experience and Qualifications
Suitable qualifications and a proven track record of mechanical project management in this role is essential, together with a commitment to meeting targets for customer service and quality.
Necessary requirements are:
* Mechanical qualifications (time served or academic)
* Ability to get to London
* Experience in working on projects
COVID-19 safety is paramount on site, with the main contractor having all measures and guidelines in place including temperature checks on entry to site each morning.
Working hours are for an 8-hour day, Mon-Fri.
Normal hours are 8.00am – 17:00pm, but may differ due to staggered entry times to site for staff due to COVID-19 (This will be advised by site team).
It may be necessary to go to the head office on some occasions, for works not possible on site and additional training in Dartford
