Mechanical Small Works Manager

My client are a large construction company who specialise in M&E, new refurbishments and light civils. With offices throughout the country and also doing work on a global basis. An opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Small Works Manager to join their team in Gatwick has arisen.

Salary package: £55,000 pa, 20 days holiday + BH, company pension, on-site parking, laptop, mobile, £5k car allowance after successful 3-month probation period.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

* Attending small works projects and providing quotations

* Small reactive works ranging from £100 – £15,000

* Organising labour and response to Mechanical Reactive & Small Works

* Ensuring Work Completion Form documentation is complete

* Ensuring RAMS and H&S documentation are produced for the jobs

* Running a small team of engineers and sub-contractors

* Cover London and the South East

Qualifications and key skills required:

* Must have a good understanding of mechanical and technical knowledge especially in plumbing and ventilation systems (Domestic and commercial).

* The successful candidate must come from an engineering background.

* Have good knowledge of reactive works

* Must have experience in running a small team of engineers

* Asbestos Awareness

* Valid CSCS

* Valid driving license is essential

* Minimum NVQ Level 3
