Project Manager– West Midlands 
 Murphy is looking for a Project Manager to join us working on Projects across the  Severn Trent Water  Fraemwork in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will lead and be accountable for complex multi-discipline water projects, ensuring that the scope of works are delivered in a safe manner, on time, to the required quality standards, meeting the acceptance criteria and achieving the expected financial outcomes.

Our Water Business is operating nationally providing world-class infrastructure solutions to Thames water, United Utilities, Severn Trent, HS2, Bristol Water, South East Water, Wessex Water and Sutton & East Surrey Water. The Water Business has an annual turnover of c. £200 million. Murphy are working on multiple frameworks in the South of England and the Midlands.

What you will be doing  
• To plan the strategy and coordinate deliver for a significant multi-disciplinary enhancement project, ensuring work is completed on time and to the agreed standard.
• Set the overall standard on the project/contract.
• To ensure contract programmes are planned, reviewed and delivered.
• Build and develop the wider operational team to deliver all aspects of the project/contract requirements.
• Will interact with the wider organisation to channel resources when required.
• Line management of Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and Section Managers.
• Responsible for effective client relationship management and provides updates to internal and external stakeholders on project/contract progress.
• Ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed as and when required.
• Ensures operating plans are in place to ensure sufficient resources and materials are in place.
• Will be expected to resolve most operational issues with any business critical or strategic issues referred to the Project Director.
• To comply with company standards, policies and procedures.
• Manages a team of site and section managers.
• Communicates developments and significant decisions in the wider business.
•    Responsible for a contract with an indicative turnover of between £XXM per annum
•    Responsible for all commercial activities associated with the project including the delivery of the agreed gross margin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics.

Who we are looking for
•    Extensive project management experience on a major civils project or framework
•    HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5
•    APMP Qualification
•    CSCS Card (Supervisor or Managers)

About the Project 
Severn Trent Water (STW) Capital Delivery Framework for the 7 successful LOT 1 Contractors comprises of a multidisciplinary programme of works covering
•    Clean & Wastewater Treatment
•    Infrastructure and
•    Reactive works across its vast region
STW has received 'Fast Track' status from OFWAT and are thus 1 of 3 Water Utilities proceeding from 1 April 2020 with their AMP 7 Programme of works.
For LOT1 contractors this will be a share of around £1.5bn over the next 5 years. The Framework has within it a provision to extend the contract to eight years based on performance. Call – Off Orders based on NEC4 Options A, C or E forms of contract selected as appropriate for given projects or batches of work
