Our client is a leading highly reputable super-prime residential contractor who works on some of the most prestigious Luxury Hotel, Residential, and Museum projects across the UK. Most of their project pipeline are high-end refurbishment projects and they have already secured £10m worth of work over the next 12 months.
Our client builds some of the most beautiful developments in the UK which mostly consist of Hotel, Residential, and Museum projects. The locations are mainly based within Greater London however, some projects will be international.
You will not find another contractor that is involved in higher quality work than our client.
Due to continued growth, our client is now looking to bring in a Project Manager who will report directly to the Directors. This is a key role for the business as they are looking for an individual who aspires to be the key figurehead within the commercial team for the whole business. You will be spending 50% of your time-on-site and the other 50% doing the paperwork side of project management.
It is essential that the Project Manager has relevant experience in Luxury Fit-Out developments
Key Tasks for the Project Manager:
Deliver a consistent, right-first-time service
Ensure the work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required standard.
Manage Sub-Contractors ensuring to adhere to Health and Safety standards
Ensure that adequate site records are maintained, including but not limited to contract reports, daily diary, weekly labour, plant, materials, and goods returned, progress photographs, site inductions, and health and safety records.
Able to demonstrate a good level of financial knowledge working alongside the project quantity surveyor
Ensuring operatives understand their roles and responsibilities and manage them accordingly by providing guidance and training as necessary
Monitor reportable accidents and ensure the correct paperwork is submitted to appropriate personnel
Liaise with residents and key stakeholders
Effectively manage the construction program to meet the client’s requirements
Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, and appraise the site team, ensuring they are fully motivated to achieve the best performance to meet its needs.
Contribute to improving the business, protecting, and enhancing the reputation of the company by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change
Key skills for Project Manager:
Holder of a Full UK Driving Licence
Previous Project Management experience in Luxury Fit-Out projects
Proven track record in successfully managing a project
IT Skills with a range of Microsoft Office packages are essential
Understanding and ability to use Microsoft Projects to manage the construction program effectively.
Ability to coordinate, manage and effectively communicate with both direct and sub-contracted labour
Ability to communicate professionally with clients and other stakeholders
Self-motivated and ambitious
Able to work as part of a team coordinating with both the operational and commercial leads.
Qualifications and Training needed for Project Manager:
CSCS Card (Black Management Card or academically qualified white card)
First Aid at Work
NVQ L6/7 or equivalent in Construction Management
CIOB Membership is desirable but not essential
Relevant Job Experience for Project Manager:
Minimum of 5 years of management experience working on Luxury Fit-Out projects
Experience with managing a site team – Site Manager & Trades
Main Contractor or Developer experience
