Project Quantity Surveyor

Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a well established Main Contractor in their search for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the team on site in Poole. The project is a £55mil residential development consisting of 4 pre-cast concrete frames. It is on a JCT form of contract which has 2 years left on site. As Project Surveyor, you'll work as number 2 on site, reporting into the commercial lead with an Assistant Surveyor reporting into you.

As Project Surveyor, your duties will include but not be limited to:

Financial reporting and control
Continually monitor and review, in detail costs and values of the works at hand.
Commercial forecasting
Ensure that the financial reports are produced and submitted in line with the company's reporting timetable.
Attend regular review and commercial control meetings.
Liaise closely with the Design and Project Management leads to ensure cross control
Management of Risk
Management of contract variations
Contract Review and production Meetings
Main Contract and External Valuations and Final Accounts
Management of Consultants and Subcontractors
Feedback to the Commercial manager of any price elements or unit prices which are considered to be seriously at variance with cost, giving details of shortfall.
Provide constructive comments on improving efficiency

The ideal Project Quantity Surveyor will have:

A degree/equivalent qualification
Main Contractor background
Experience with projects valued anywhere up to £60mil
Be within a commutable distance to Poole
