We are proud to announce a fantastic positon as Purchasing Manager for one of the leading roofing merchant's in the UK.
Full time based at our London Colney Head Office AL2 1DT
42.5 hours per week 7.00am – 4.30 Monday – Friday.
Reporting to Area Manager & Managing Director
The role
* Nurture relationships with our suppliers both current and new
* Identify and research new supply chain partners
* Liaising with our buying group partners, attending regular meetings
* Ensuring purchasing targets are reached
* Negotiate best possible value for money deals
* Monitor industry trends and be able to react and adjust
The candidate
* Needs to have buying experience for a multi-site operation preferably working in the roofing merchant industry
* Highly organised individual with excellent verbal and written skill
* Team player
* Self-starter and able to work on your own initiative with target orientation
* Computer literate (Excel, Power-point, Word)
* Good understanding of supply chain management
* Able to analyse data
* Good overall grasp & knowledge of the roofing & construction industry
* Willing to learn & at the same time impart knowledge to fellow management team members
