Compass Resourcing is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a retail fit-out main contractor whose head office is located near Blackburn, Lancashire. Specialising in bespoke fit out, small works and refurbishment projects for the Retail, Leisure, Hospitality, Education and Commercial sectors and undertaking work for SMEs through to blue-chip high street retailers.
Ideally, candidates will have over 5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor and have a proven track record of managing your own projects.
The suitable Quantity Surveyor will be capable of undertaking challenging renovations and installation in live commercial environments, and be responsible for everything from the commencement to the completion of projects including measuring, scoping, and tendering the works at inception, managing, and reporting of the works throughout dealing with both subcontractors and clients and final accounting all works upon completion.
Attendance to scoping/survey meetings
– Liaison with Client Project Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager
– Subcontractor enquiries
– Subcontractor cost analysis
– Provide support to Commercial Manager
– Placing of Subcontractor orders
– Provide support to delivery teams
– Preparing budget costings, bills of quantities
– Capable of managing several projects at one time
– Commercial reporting
– Undertaking valuations
– Prepare/submit final accounts
– Arranging payments to Subcontractors
– Cash flow forecasting
– Final accounting
This is a full time, permanent position, required ASAP.
Salary – £40,000 – £50,000 plus package
Standard working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am-5pm.
