My client works on medium to large scale projects across a range of sectors including residential, culture, commercial and many more, and are seeking to take on a Senior Associate on a permanent basis in Cardiff. The Senior Associate will be expected to lead the studio, working alongside existing client projects as well as new projects coming in to the studio.

The Senior Associate will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree qualified in Architecture or Interior Architecture
Experience in an Associate level role in an architectural practice
Experience of managing business development within the built environment
At least 10  years of experience working in the industry
ARB/RIBA Member
Excellent knowledge in the local market and must have design flair
Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and Health & safety management in construction
Ability to work and support the team when needed and coordinate with others 
The Senior Associate role will involve:

Seeking and creating new business opportunities for the studio whilst managing existing client relationships to promote repeat business
Create and lodge all local authority submissions from building regulations, planning and listed building to ensure all the work undertaken by the creative team is fully compliant
Supporting the Directors in business, finance, and marketing decisions
Supporting the studio in HR and social matters
Fostering and promoting the highest level of technical design and delivery
Be well organised in running projects and ensuring timely delivery
Attend sites as and when required in connection with plans, drawings and construction contracts.
