My client are an established specialist groundworks sub contractor based in the West Midlands. They have developed an enviable client base delivering large scale groundworks packages for national building contractors on education, commercial and mixed use schemes. They are recruiting a Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of materials and plant. The role will be office based in Birmingham reporting to the Commercial Director. You'll be responsible for:
* Managing relationships with new and existing suppliers
* Being accountable for all procurement across the business
* Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value is achieved and contractual obligations are met
* Ensure orders are placed in line with company procedures
To be considered for the role you'll have a background with a groundworks or civils contractor in a similar position. Ideally you'll have a formal supply chain qualification and be chartered.
