Fawkes and Reece are now assisting in the search for a Senior Estimator to join a Regional Main Contractor out of their office in Bournemouth. Our client are a Regional main Contractor who work across the industrial, commercial, education and residential sectors with projects valuing up to around £30mil. Projects are on a mix of single and two stage tenders and predominantly administered through JCT forms of contract.

They're looking for an experienced Estimator who can successfully tender and win projects across various sectors whilst assisting in the mentoring of junior Estimators. You'll report directly into the Pre-construction Manager.

As Estimator, your duties will include but not be limited to:

Preparing work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Identifying labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
Computing costs by analysing labour, material, and time requirements.
Resolving discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
Presenting prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
Preparing special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
Maintaining cost data base by entering and backing up data.
Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications

The ideal Estimator will have:

A construction related degree/equivalent qualification
At least 5 years in the Estimator role
Come from a Main Contractor
Have tendered and won projects valuing circa £10mil
