About the role:
Due to the company’s success and the amount of new work that is already in the pipeline, there is a need for a Senior Site Manager to run one of their largest project to date in Colchester.
This project will be a 7 story block of flats, valued at £17 million in Colchester. The successful candidate will be based in on site in Colchester and be responsible for the whole site, under the supervision of a Project Manager. Due to this, the successful candidate will benefit from day-to-day hands-on guidance and support from the Contracts Manager.
Your role will include
* management of the project in its entirety
* Ensure that the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities
* Ensure that all units are produced to a consistently high standard of quality
* Monitor and control the cost of production and approve payments to sub-contractors
* Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and other relevant legislation, and accompany any authorised person connected with Health and Safety at Work or other relevant legislation in inspections of the site
* Liaise with internal colleagues/Line Managers, and external suppliers and contacts as required in order to ensure the build programme is achieved
About the benefits and rewards:
The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £60,000 to £65,000.
In addition to the basic salary there will be benefits including car allowance of £5,500, pension, and healthcare. As well as long term career prospects and progression, you will also work closely with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager who can offer support should you need it.
About the requirements:
The successful candidate needs to have extensive experience in managing large residential projects with projects ranging in value from £5m to £17m. The ideal candidate should extensive expeience on working on new build residentail projects.
