We are a thriving and progressive company in a service delivery Due to continued expansion we are now in the market for an Service Delivery Manager and the successful candidate will have accountability for the effective delivery of all site based services as well as overall organisation and management of the Operations Department.

The responsibilities for the role are wide ranging and will include :

• Full responsibility and end-to-end delivery of all servicesprovided by the company ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded, including reviewing the quality and effectiveness and driving continuous improvement.

• Assist the Head of Operations with overall development of the department including driving policy, procedures, objectives,process improvement and strategy.

• Upholding and driving the company’s mission statement, ethos, quality standards and team spirit.

• Oversee the overall Operations personnel hierarchy to ensure Line Managers/Supervisors are effective in their roles in relation to communication, performance reviews, training, hiring, competencies and general HR matters.

• Organising the roles and responsibilities of the office based team, coverage plans and staffing levels to maintain ongoing business continuity.

• Working in partnership with Sales Manager to ensure effective communications between Operations and Sales to facilitate and manage availability for incoming projects to ensure there is themaximum capacity for projects, assets and personnel to achieve weekly Sales targets, hiring additional resource when required.

• Ensuring commercial considerations and constraints are included in the overall planning process, to ensure the company is performing its services to the required standards, in line with contractual agreements and within the client’s budget/quotation.

• Travelling to visit clients for pre-start meetings, managing and interpreting customer requirements to ensure the project goes live they are met technically and commercially.

• The provision of technical support in partnership with advise from the Senior Technical Manager to all Site Supervisors, Operatives and Engineers throughout the duration of projects to ensure the works are carried out effectively and client requirements are fully communicated to site/office based staff.

• Manage and monitor site activities for site safety, quality and environmental responsibilities ensuring the company and the workforce are following a safe system of work.

• Oversee daily productivity of live projects including dailycheckpoint reviews to prevent any risk to the project and provide immediate resolution and implementation if action is required.

• Ensuring commercial considerations and constraints are included in the overall planning process, to ensure the company is performing its services to the required standards, in line with contractual agreements and within the client’s budget/quotation.

• Oversee daily productivity of live projects including daily checkpoint reviews to prevent any risk to the project and provide immediate resolution and implementation if action is required.
• Closely monitor all live project variations, maintain adequate variation records of change to original scope agreed or increasing costs, ensuring additional works quotations are raised and approved to avoid any potential future disputes post invoice.
• Oversee the procurement of externally provided services; including the negotiation of cost/price, contractual obligations, relationships, performance and control of delivery.
• Oversee maintenance of field assets and plant, including repair and compliance with legal and H&S requirements such as regular inspection and servicing and provide status reporting.

• Oversight to ensure the team are effective in operational to prevent cost wastage, minimising unnecessary financial loss and implementing robust preventative measures where losses are incurred.
• Producing weekly revenue estimates and statistics for Management reporting.
• Reporting, investigating and remediating non-conformances that may occur within the Operations department.
• Ensuring adequate controls are in place for all operational processes, monitoring these are followed, carrying out internal audits, bridging gaps, writing up process enhancements, training and managing change to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the team.
• Directly managing the Geophysics department, approving reports and including support in the writing of final project reports.
• Oversee the departments representation with all clients and act as a point escalation if required throughout the duration of a project; this may include assessing the sales enquiry phase, through the operational live phase to completion of final report and payment.
• Prompt management of client disputes or complaints, ensuring they are dealt with in line with company policy and customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Strong inter-department relationships with peer group and partnering closely with other support teams such as HR, BM, Finance, QSHE.
• Responsible for ensuring the security of our buildings at the end of each day and maintaining controlled access into the building throughout the day.
• Available for reasonable out of hours over the phone support to the on call Ops team, managing ad hoc issues that may occasionally arise.
