TSA are proud to be recruiting for an established civil engineering contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to support in the delivering of a multi million pound project in the region of South Cumbria. .
Suitable candidates will have a strong major civil engineering employment history and will have worked alongside Tier 1 contractors construction projects.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of reinforced concrete structures and be proifficient in engineering software's such as AutoCAD.
Responsibilities:
To ensure that all relevant technical information is accurately available to the construction team.
To set out works in accordance with the design specifications, adhering to the Nuclear Class 1 build requirements.
To raise TQ’s and NCRs to the Senior Engineers in order to drive Quality and design compliance.
To monitor and advise trades in the delivery of the specification and design drawing requirements, enforcing, and driving Quality Assurance.
Assist the Quality Engineers in enforcement of Quality in line with the site-specific requirements.
To target and assist in the delivery of engineering excellence in safety.
To deliver a product as per Client’s requirements with determination to ensure the works are right first time and complying with the Clients’ Quality Standards.
To eliminate waste in all forms including labour, materials, plant, and staff, especially targeting the prevention of rework.
To gain knowledge and experience and earn a reputation for innovative engineering expertise and excellence.
To create a healthy working environment with all construction disciplines to assist in the project delivery on time and within budget.
Fulfill the Setting out/Site Engineer functions in order to allow for programme dates to be met in line with the latest Clause 32 works programme.
Manages own CPD.
Key Qualifications & Person Spec:
Applicants must have the following to be considered for this role.
* HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline
* CSCS Card
* Environmental & H&S Awareness
* Suitable applicants will be proactive, professional and a strong team player
* Exceptional communication skills.
Job Benefits:
* Outside of IR35 (subject to Assessment)
* £30 p/hour
* Time and a third uplifts for night working
* £1100 p/month subsistence contribution for those living out of the area
