Trade Counter Manager



My client in Torquay is currently in need of an experienced Trade Counter Manager.
Responsible for: Developing and maintaining trade counter business, this encompasses managing all aspects, staff product, sales ,costs, harvesting customers, identifying opportunities and passing on relevant sales leads to the salesmen.
Ensuring branch meets sales and profit target, agreeing budgets with NTCM.
1. To actively develop sales of roofline, window, conservatory and ancillary product range. Identify ideas for continued promotion of the trade sales counter in conjunction with the National Trade Counter Manager.
To maintain a competitors file to aid in understanding the market and associated trends.
To report weekly to NTCM on all activities in week using the Email report format.
2. Stock Control:
Supervise the receiving of, storage of and issue of all materials. To ensure adequate stock levels of all store items maintained.
To make a visual check of all stores stock and draw up and place stores replenishment orders through Paignton.
Also check with surrounding trade counters stock to negate over stocking.
Liaise with customers to arrange collection/delivery of fabricated products.
3. Stocktake:
To undertake monthly check of all products in stock.
To identify and bring to the attention of the National Trade Counter Manager,
Slow moving stock and to be aware of items moving faster than anticipated, in
order to increase stock levels.
1. Financial Control:
To undertake a work in progress check fortnightly and submit report to credit control prior to the Debtors Meeting.
To ensure that all trading accounts trade within our terms and conditions paying particular attention to credit status by way of reviewing the Debtors Report daily.
5. Procedures:
Ensure compliance to the Quality Procedures Manual, Branch Operations Manual including raising of all necessary paperwork. To ensure that all delivery/collection notes signed for when goods leave, that signed receipt placed in tray for forwarding to head office, that correct invoice be issued with contract concerned, to collect monies due for all COD collection deliveries.
6. Housekeeping :
To maintain a clean work environment both inside and out, making sure that all sales aids are clean and literature is up to date and in plentiful supply.
7. Training:
To identify training requirements to the National Trade counter Manager
8. Health and Safety:
Ensure that the Companies H&S policy understood by all in the unit, the
Outside storage and delivery areas.
To ensure that all PPE provided is worn,that all accidents are reported and
Noted in the H&S file in branch.
The salary for the position is paying up to £30k per annum with additional commission pay. The role also includes a generous holiday package as well as company benefits.
